I am thinking about putting an ambidextrous safety on my mil-spec.  I am able to break down the weapon to the frame so getting the old safety out is not an issue.  My question is how hard is it to put the new ambidextrous safety in?  Do I have to take it to a gunsmith or can I do it myself?  Thanks…

I've got just the opposite question:
How hard is it to remove an ambi-safety and replace it  with a standard style safety?
