My old TRP Operator sporting a new Armory Kote in matte and 10-8 MRS sights from Springfield Custom, a new Springfield tritium front sight, with Larry Davidson Grenade grips in desert ironwood. It is old school and a lot of steel but it has a bunch of soul.

Up late, hardly ever come to this site anymore, and forgot I posted the very first Springfield in this thread years ago. That gun has seen about 80K rounds since then, got a barrel change at around 10K rounds, and has been refinished three times. After all those rounds, the only malfunction ocurred on one trip when I had a broken mainspring housing pin. Beat to crap, but it's still my favorite 1911.

Just got her back from the Springfield Custom Shop. XD 40 Tactical done in OD Green Armory Kote with Trijicon night sights. they did good on the finish except where they put on the front sight. the Green Kote is darker than the frame. |
