I couldn't find the appropriate forum for this but since I'll be using it pistol shooting, and this forum is where I spend most of my time, so hopefully this isn't too bad?

I'm in need of a spotting scope, but I can't dump too much cash on it.  So, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with any of the following:

Leopeuld Wind River
Nikon Earth and Sky
Bausch and Lomb Discoverer (made  by Bushnell)
Bushnell Spacemaster

All are in the two to three hundred dollar price range, and would spend most of there lives sitting on a shooting bench.  The longest range they would be used for reading targets would be about 300 yds, and mostly 1 to 200.  If anyone has experience with any of the above I'd appreciate the suggestions?

Any other recommendations?  Even for a different forum to ask this question?

I was leary of a cheap scope till I tried a friend's Yukon. Tho the eye relief is short, it is clear and bright, pretty rugged too. I can see .223 holes clearly at 300 yards.

$69 with free shipping from www.opticstore.com

I bought one and couldn't be happier. They have a larger, more traditional model now that I guess is really nice but I'm happy with mine.
