For those of you with the 629 Mountain Gun, what type of holster are you using with it?

A belt leather model is the way to go, IMO. Kramer makes a nice one for this size gun.

Bianchi 111 Cyclone, can be worn as either a strong side or crossdraw.

just for the weather-proofness of it, I use an Uncle Mikes for my 625 mountain gun.
I also have a Hunter brand holster for it, as well as a nice suede lined pancake holster for it.

The holsters swap my 629, 625 and model 28's.
You just gotta love 4" n frames.

I am partial to the Desantis Dual Angle Hunter for 4 inch N Frames.  I like that you can switch from strong side to cross draw for different situations.  I prefer cross draw when sitting in a tree stand - much less movement involved in the draw to spook the deer.  The holster is also lined to protect the finish.

Go to the Blue Press [Dillon] and see that they have a nice holster for this revolver.

This is another great choice - just picked one up for a 5" Model 625.  Very nice holster!
