I have found the SA factory mags work flawlessly , the mil. surplus work ok and the Chip McCormick shooting star 8 rnd. will not cylce  reliably. I am using Fed. Hydro shocks.
Looking for what you have found reliable with HP's  , as I am in the market for a few more carry mags.

i dont like the SA factory mags.  i normally use Kimber mags, and on occasion Chip McCormick SS.  no probs with those.

i had good luck with my WC 47Ds, I had a few that wouldnt lock the slide back. I havent tried any other mags cuz of the metal followers supposedly chew up the alloy frames or something like that, so I stick with poly followers.

My Champion likes and works well with 8 round CMC's but doesn't like or work very well with Wilson's.  Go figure!

I use McCormick 8rd Power mags, seem to work just fine. I think its the extra spring power that helps. Wilsons wouldnt work.

I have used both springfield and Mec-Gar in both my springfield G-I and my IPSC gun built from parts. Both 8 and 10 round mags work great

The problem with the CHAMPION is the spring weight. 22-24# is going to make that 4" slide come flying into battery FAST!. So, to solve this problem, you have to run a very strong mag spring.
My Champion runs a 24# recoil spring and 12# magazine springs.  it's best to stick with 7rd mags, as they will lock the slide back more reliably.
