Since Ruger wont build this, I had to build my own.

The sights could be upgraded. You can get a white outlined rear sight blade from Ruger and send your front sight to Dennis at Sarona Gun Works and have him install a orange serrated insert. I like this set up way more than the light pipe system.

That was my dilemma, so I also built my own.  Only the bolt and mainspring are Ruger.

how did you go about making the bottom rail?  I like my 22/45 but it could use a light mount on the bottom.

what won't Ruger make? Don't they have a 22/45 with top and bottom rails?

I love mine. Works feet with red dots and acog's. However the rail does loosen up over time on its own.

Its like you glossed completely over what i said.

"They wont make a LITE with a top and bottom rail"

Lite = Light, of lesser weight, easy to lift.

No, they aren't, Pick up the Tactical, and than pick up the Lite. The tactical is all steel receiver, where the Lite is an aluminum receiver with a tensioned steel barrel.

MKIV Tactical: Weight 33.3 oz.
MKIV Lite: Weight 25 oz.

Crickets......

I agree.  8.3 ounces is quite a difference.  Especially when you add optics and a can.

I just ordered this one last night.

Now for the long wait for my A A Element 2 to be released from jail.

Boy do you sound like the average gun shop employee if you think those 2 guns are the exact same thing

Cool deal, I've been looking for something like that for mine. Wish they weren't just on Facepuke.
