I loaded some really light loads and they aren't cycling in my G17.  I was thinking that a reduced power recoil spring would help it cycle.

What is the stock weight spring?
How much should I go down?
Where is a good place to buy the recoil rod and springs?

The OEM recoil spring is 17lbs.

I would suggest coming down to 15lbs if that is the only spring you are going to replace.  Glock springs are balanced between the recoil and striker springs.

I run a 13lb ISMI spring in my 9mm Glocks in addition to a Wolff reduced power striker spring.  I'm using the factory polymer recoil rod.

I sometimes shoot really light .40 loads through a lone wolf barrel in my G20.  I would definitely recommend the Wolff Guide rod and springs.

My Gen3 has never had a problem with the 13lb spring and 130pf ammo.

I installed a Wolff 14lb spring with Jager full length steel rod in my G35 and love it.  It cycles perfectly with all loads.  My minor load is Titegroup 3.5g w/ Berry's 180g FP-DS.
