Just wondering if anyone knows if Springfield's 4" champions are on a full-size frame or not.  More specifically, can they run a standard .22 conversion kit?
Thanks

The dust cover on mine waS to short to cover the recoil spring on a 5" slide, however I think would have still worked, but my slide wouldn't even fit, the ejector was to far to one side IIRC. My LW Champion also has a barrel with built in feedramp, I don't know about the steel models though.

Do you think a commander-sized .22 kit would fit?  That's really all I'm concerned about....

I've spent the last few hours searching the web and here's what I've come up with:
Another guy was in the same position and contacted several companies regarding this ramped/non-ramped situation. Wilson and Advantage Arms apparently told him they would fit and function just fine as long as the base gun doesn't use an external ejector. I have read that the Kimber and Wilson kits are really just fancy Ceiner kits. Another guy said the Kimber kit fit and functioned just fine on a CDP II, which is ramped. This leads me to believe that the Ceiner, Wilson, and Kimber should all work fine. Marvel kits work fine and do not even bother to say non-ramped only.

Why would the barrel used even matter when the conversion replaces it and has its own ramp? Something about the frame? Why would these companies go out of their way to say "non-ramped only" when they may work just fine on a ramped gun?

Anyone have actual experience with a ceiner or other kit working on your ramped-barrel pistol?

Any help is greatly appreciated, this has really been buggin me....
