Has Glock always been using this finish on ther guns or is it found only on the later generations? I ask becasue i thought they always had the tennifer finish but a friend thinks it's a new to the 3rd generation glocks only. Please advise. thanks.

IIRC GLOCK has used the application of tennifer on all of their pistols including the 1st generation. They may have changed the exterior finish but it has always been tennifer beneath.

Newer Glocks are much darker, but as stated, the Tennifer is below.
