I saw a 1944 Rem-Rand 1911A1 in very good condition for sale yesterday. What do these things usually sell for?

If I buy it, where can I get it nickel plated?

Can you get gold plated triggers, hammers, etc to fit these old guns?
JK about the last two.

That was a dirty trick.  Price is really dependent on finish, originality, and correctness.  I suppose it could be anywhere from $300 for a beater to $1800 for a pristine, all original gun.  That's just a guess though.  By the way, nice avatar!

$400 to 3K, all depends on originality. Need to make sure the frame and slide are correct for higher worth [SN# is correct for RR] The more "correct" the more it will be worth. As it stands now almost any POS will go for 600+ as long as the frame is GI and says US property.

Oh, Mr Pimp H- Daddy, Gold plate THIS.
