I have a Taurus 650 (yeah, yeah) that was the first gun I ever bought. It had a horrendous trigger pull. I mean, it left blood blisters on the pads of my index fingers from pulling the trigger. I took it to a revolver gunsmith and he smoothed out the trigger and put custom grips on it. It shoots great now and I've put hundreds and hundreds of rounds through it with no problem.

How do I measure what the trigger pull on it is now? I want to say the gunsmith said it was 4.5-5 lbs of pull, but I'm not sure if that's right, as it's been a while.

Interesting. Is that something most gun stores have? If I were to bring it in, could they tell me?

Not necessarily gun STORES, but most any place that repairs or modifies guns should have it.

Right. The shops I frequent all have gunsmiths. Thanks for the info, Frank.

You can get pretty lose with a goldfish scale. If you measure with two scales you'll get two results because they usually have some error. I have like that shown and it seems to give good readings, but I've ever tested it.

Can they be calibrated? How can you tell if they are accurate?
