A guy I know, who doesn't know anything about guns, is thinking about selling this gun.  I seen it tonight, but in low light so I couldn't read the fine print.  Its a Colt detective in 32 which I would say is in very good ++ condition and the blue is probably 98-99 % with a barrel of 2 or 3 inches.  I told him if he found  buy don't go less that $375.00.  I'd estimate the value about $450.00, but the value and what you can get is two different things.   Did I give good advise?

Colts don't seem to be going down in value, especially the Detective Specials. They seem to going up every time I look.
I'd think it would be worth closer to $500 if it was in as good a shape as you say and being in 32.

I know they made them in .32, but I've never actually seen one and I've seen a lot of DSs....
