I own a Springfield Micro-compact 1911 with a 3" barrell.  My guide rod has snapped, and try as I might, I can't find anywhere to order a nice, one piece guide rod for it.  I contacted Springfield already, and the said that they will send me a stock one out... But this is the part that has failed already.  I would like to order a nice heavy duty deal... But try as I might, I can't find anywhere on-line that has them.  I tried Brownells, and wilson combat has an Officers model guide rod... But the shortest I can find is the Ultra compact length.

My gun is down... and all I need to fix her is a simple 3" guide rod!

Please... Any links or adressess would be VERY MUCH appriciated...

There's a slew of 1911 parts suppliers: Cylinder & Slide, Wilson, Denny's, Brownells, Chip McCormick & many others I can't recall.

I would suggest you get a factory rod for right now in order to get your gun back up & then you can shop for a replacement at leisure.

Good luck.
