So I am building a CCO little by little, and the next thing on my list is the pin set. My first thought was to go to EGW, as I have read multiple places that these are really good, if not the best on the market.
In my research, I also found a couple companies making "officer" pin sets. Picture of EGW Pin Set: 
And here's a pic of Nighthawk Custom's pin set for an Officer frame: 
As you can see, the 2 pins that go into the Mainspring Housing are different, the ones for the Officer Frame are shorter. I contacted EGW and asked them if their set would work in a Officer framed gun, and they said yes. So here's my question. Why do companies sell "officer pin sets" and "government pin sets" if the Government one will work in both? Also, is EGW correct? Will their set work with an officer frame? And lastly, if I do need an officer frame set, what company should I buy from? |
