I'm looking for a small "concealable" pistol in 9mm,.40SW or .45ACP...

Since we are no longer allowed to have magazines with over 10 rounds, I would like it to be a single-column mag, so as to be as slim as possible...but if necessary I would try one of those pistols with the cut-down mini-grips, though they LOOK uncomfortable...I just HATE having a full-size grip with a PC half-empty mag!

Any suggestions as to makes or models?

PS I am currently using a Makarov in this role, but would like something more powerful...

Kahr, Glock 36, 1911 Officer or Commander or Govt models, Sig P-225, Baby Luger, Beretta makes a new single stack in 9mm & S&W makes several.

I'm sure there's several I didn't list. Go to a gunshow & look at all of them & see what fits your hand the best.

I carry a Kimber Compact CDP. But if I were to carry a 9mm, I'd strongly consider the HK P7M8

Since you can't have the KelTec P11, go with the Kahr's. The P9 is so light and slim. I don't know who your dealer is, but, Kahr's don't have to cost $700. A local dealer here is selling one for over $700.

My daily carry is a Kahr MK9 with Pearce grip extension.

It's considerably heavier than its polymer framed brethren but it is also designed to hold up under prolonged shooting of full house rounds.

Practice is essential to comfort and success with your carry piece.

I carry a SW CS9 which I like a lot.  Single stack DA/SA.  They also have .40 and .45 calibers.
