I picked up a used P-22 OD target model from my dealer today, and I noticed there is a little play in the fake comp. Front to back and side to side. Is that normal? He showed me another he had in the shop and it was basically the same. I took it out tonight and put 50 rounds through it without a hiccup. Not much of a test I know, but I hope I got a good one. Got it for $275. Is that a good deal? Not a mark on it, and it has all the paperwork, extra mag, grip panels, and box. Edit: Where is the best place to pick up mags and the shorter barrel? |

Try www.natchezss.com or www.cdnninvestments.com for mags. It's a barrel weight and not a fake comp, he may have installed it wrong (it has a set screw that screws into the barrel sleeve), I've never noticed play with mine. |
I took it apart last night. The set screw is in the top and both screws are in the side. And they are as tight as I want to try turning them. I am afraid I will break something if I turn them any more. Still just a little movement side to side and front to back. And with the grooves in the top that do absolutely nothing, it looks like they want you to think it is a comp. |
glad you figured it out. I was going to suggest you check the barrel nut. |
