Hi guys!
I have heard some people talking about switching out the standard trigger springs in HK pistols with the LEM springs. My question is this: Can I take say a P2000 DA/SA model (is that the v3?) and replace the main trigger spring with an LEM trigger spring and reduce the overall DA trigger pull while keeping the gun in the standard DA/SA configuration? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but my experience with HK is limited. I also have a follow up question. What the trigger pull weight on the LEM models and are those available with a thumb safety? |

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but my experience with HK is limited. I also have a follow up question. What the trigger pull weight on the LEM models and are those available with a thumb safety? You've got the springs confused. The standard V2 LEM has a heavy trigger return spring, and a heavy firing pin block spring. Using the V2 TRS in an SA/DA gun will make the trigger HEAVIER. The SA/DA type of spring is the one used in the LEM to make it a lighter pull. Remember, the whole idea for the LEM was that the hammer spring is preloaded but the hammer is not "cocked". This basically makes it a SA. The TRS is a heavy spring in order to add additional safety to the gun, giving the user a light, smooth double action feel. Trigger pull weights range from ~8 pounds for the V2, and then you can have 6 pounds and 4 pounds for the other variations of the above mentioned springs. I used to know the variant numbers, I don't anymore. |

Well no wonder that no one was responding! Ok so how would I reduce the DA trigger pull on a DA/SA P2000? Are there reduced power spring available and if so where? Um... see this thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=29&t=110169 I don't know what you'd do for a P2000 spring, but my suggestion would be to leave it alone or sell the SA/DA and get a light LEM model. |
