Can you swap out the v2 for a v1 for a lighter pull? How hard is that to do?

What do you guys think about this pistol and/or the V2 trigger? Thanks.

I have one with the V2 LEM and love it, but the LEM is a 'love or hate' system and not everyone likes it. You can make the trigger lighter in the LEM, but AFIK you cannot convert one to a V1 as they do not make a safety / decock lever for it. Possibly I am wrong and the one from a USPc would work but I don't think so. They do list a V1 on their website but when you look at the specs for the P2000 they show only V2 and V3 available. IIRC you may be able to convert a V3 to LEM but not vice-versa. I would not trust the really light LEM for defense use myself, but the standard setup is really not hard to shoot well given some practice.

Maybe Big Bore will be along in a while to confirm or differ with this.

Since posting this I ran across the spring swap you can do on the p2k to lower the pull to 5lbs or so. Seems easy to do and I think 5# would be nice. I'll see what the stock trigger does to groups first though.

If you want to pay for, it there is magic that can be performed with the LEM you cannot believe unless you shoot one, very short reset and a very light trigger, but that is definitely not for a defense pistol. The standard break is around 7-8 pounds...just fine for a general purpose CCW pistol in spite of what some prefer. It does, however, take more than a couple of range trips and two or three 100rd Value packs to really get used to the LEM, especially if you switch back and forth between different trigger systems.

Good Luck
