I was going to say sig, but I think the barrels are too high off the frame. So I went CZ; same rail/slide design as the SIG, but the barrel is lower. If the question was execution instead of design I'd have choosen HK (metal ones).

Not in the least. I've got a buddy that works for the prison system here in Tennessee and he told me that they use P93DAO's for training guns. Some of the pistols have Thousands upon Thousands of rounds thru them without a hitch. No matter what you think about Bill Ruger you have to admit that he did design some damn sturdy, reliable guns. Granted, they're a little thicker then others because of the investment casting but not much more then say an H&K or some of the others on the market. I just picked up a P93DAO in like new condition for $325, much less then any other "wonder nine" would have cost me and I know that this gun will work and last for a lifetime.
