I like the Kimber Tactical II better. Just my opinion. I found a guy on gunbroker selling the Kimber Tactical for $834... hella of a deal.

Are they gonna make it in stainless steel? Sweet either way though.

Cool "scales" instead of serrations.

When I hear Raptor , I think of Birds of Prey .

Guess I'm not Jurassic enough , and Anaconda & Python were already taken

I like it. However, that checkered plastic MSH looks a little out of place with all the other cool scale machining.

OK. Lumpy, have you bought it?  If so, it's nice.  If not, then it's tacky.  I'm feeling PC today.

I don't really care for the overall theme.

I am intrigued by the frontstrap treatment though.

I really do not care for the (scales?) on top of the slide!

I've had one for 2 weeks, beautiful gun in person. I got the Pro model.  Shoots accurate like a Kimber but FTE constantly. The extractor was messed up. Kimber is fixing it for free right now. The Raptor get a lot of attention at the range. None of it negative as of yet. I promise it's a whole lot better looking in person. All of the serations, top frame work, and front strap work that stand out like sore thumbs in the pictures, are a lot more subdued and suttle against the polished frame. Like I said, beautiful gun, accurate, I just had a tweeked extractor. No worries here.

I gotta agree, ugly as sin.  Plus it's got that goddamn "II" on the end of it that just ruins it for me.

And then after a year or two, the frame will have three different cracks split down the frame.

Then LB will refuse to look at your gun.  So, they'll let it sit in the box, on a bench for a few weeks before they ever even open the box and LOOK at it.  Then they will take a few more weeks to think about what to do about it.  Then they'll take a few more weeks to cut another frame.  Then another week or two to blue it and the slide.  Then it will sit there for awhile.

Then if you're lucky, they'll manage to drop it back in the box, and into the UPS out box.

Well, except for the commander style hammer, the extended wide beavertail, the aftermarket trigger, the lack of lanyard loop, the Novak sights, the checkered front strap......yep that is EXACTLY what a 1911 should look like.

That was my 1st thought as well.
