[ARCHIVED THREAD] - New Springfield Champion Operator Problem

I just purchased the above pistol today. It's the 4" with the rail. I loaded some Hornady +P rounds in it and they cycled fine through the magazine when I shot some. I did have a problem though. It acted like it was locked up if I tried to pull the slide back with a round chambered. I would have to pull really hard and finally the round would come out.

I tried Speer Gold Dots and they came out just fine. Is this a known problem and does anyone have any advice?

Measure the loaded case diameter and length. That is just a shot in the dark.

They are a little longer than the Gold Dots. This came to mind as the cause of the problems, but I forgot to mention it. Like I said though, they cycled fine when being shot.
