I don't know how well you shoot, but it should shoot just about as well as you can point it.

I have a full sized .45, and have shot a friends compact .45. You will be pleasently suprised by how accurate these guys are...

Great choice and great gun!! I have the same one, uspc .40s&w, v1 and I absolutely love mine. There's nothing wrong with the .40 cal, so don't let anyone start in on the caliber war with you. I can shoot consistent double taps where the holes are almost touching, so the recoil to me is not a big deal. Now the only thing that will get you...is that after you shoot it, you will want to get more HK's in your collection... Let us know how your range trip goes.

HOnestly you are going to shoot low and left until you get used to it.  First you have to put the front dot ON the target not under it.  Second, the trigger is a bit of a handle at first and will cause you to pull your shots left (assuming right handed).  Once you conquer these issues, the USP will shoot as good as you will let it.

Great pistols IMHO.

Well, I was hitting all 12 rounds in the mag on an 8x11 piece of paper at 50 YARDS today, from a rest (not Ransom, just hand-rested on my shooting bag).

That's pretty damn good for me.
