Depends if you want to get a Novak/Bomar cut and have sights installed or if you want to use the existing cuts. The hammer and trigger are not difficult, just takes some understand of the pistol and a little patience. Minor hand tools and a good 1911 manual should be all you need. EDIT: why are you changing the hammer? If it's a "biting" issue you might want to just bob the hammer's tail. I like Ed Brown, EGW and Cylinder & Slide parts. |

I just like the look of the rounded hammer over the spur. If you replace the spur with a Commander style hammer, you will have to replace or greatly modify the grip safety. |
