I can't believe my good fortune and I can't stop ginning about it.

I was at a local indoor range to shoot with some of the younguns as we are all together for Christmas . We shot up about 1200 rounds between the four of us and I was enjoying all the looks that they Boys were getting from the other shooters as they proceeded to cut the centers out of their B34 reduced silhouettes

We finish up and the boys headed out ahead of me as I stayed a while and talked with some of the guys in the store (all ARFCOM members

) and as I was getting ready to leave I stopped at the end counter just to peruse the 1911 selection and what to my tired old peepers see..........?

A like new Springfield TRP-PRO, yes the same custom shop built 1911 that the FBI SWAT uses.
There it lay in all it's Black T finished glory with a price tag of.........

$1049.00

My Visa came out of my wallet so fast it scorched the leather

That is one outfreakingstanding deal! IIRC you scored a great deal on a Warrior as well? You need to buy some lotto tickets because you are on a atreak!

Oh and where are the PICTURES???

Is this the same gun? this one is only 950.00 eta , no i dont think this is the custom shop one for the fbi, but still looks like a good ..no? i would like to see some pics of your if you ever get around to it!!

I just love being doubted by the great unlearned........

but looking at the receipt I was wrong about the price. It was not $1059, it was $1049

The person who REALLY didnt know what they had was the person who sold it to us. We got our standard markup on a used gun, and Im just glad someone who really knew and appreciates what it was got it!

Neils a great guy, I told him what he had before I bought it. He insisted that it was my find and that he was glad it was going to go to someone who would appreciate it for the gem it is.

To be fair none of Neils guys are into 1911's very heavily and if you ain't into 1911s you'd not have a clue what a Springfield Pro was. Most of Neils crew is into HK and Sig but I've helped to corrupt Neil to the Koolaid Alter of the Church of John Moses Browning and he's packing a Warrior most days now.

Customer Service at the Gun Gallery in Jax is top rate, the staff is knowlegeable in what the sell and honest enough to tell you if they don't know. They do thier best to help all in any manner that they can. I greatly enjoy going there when I'm in Jax if nothing more than to hang with fellow ARFCOMERS

If ya'll get a chance to stop in do so, I understand Neil has some new 1911's comming in

Just ordered a Stainless TRP, the Gun Site Colt is in with the Lightweigt Commander, ordered two more Desert Warriors, still have a TLE and a Warrior (among maybe 6 other Kimbers). Got one of those S&W 1911PD's with the CTC laser grips. Steve got the Springfield Pro, the TRP Operator sold just before Christmas, an ex-employee just bought an older series 70 Colt that SGB recommended. There's always new stuff coming in (and going out!)...
