Greetings from north central PA.
Yesterday afternoon, I went home early to paint the wood stove. Once that chore was done, I got my M&P out to try some of that cheap Russian 9mm ammo. Went through a box of 50. The ammo was nicely accurate, actually hitting point of aim. The pistol functioned perfectly or so I thought. Later that evening, I noticed that two of the three white dots on my sights had disappeared. Bummer! Are these dots just paint??? If so what kind of paint do you use to re-do them? Your help would be appreciated because I really miss my dots. Thanks.. Hardbawl |

Clean out the holes with a q tip and some thinner or alcohol. Paint them in. It happens more than you think, and for the life of me I do not understand how S&W can still let these little things still happen.

Thanks, guys.
Went to a hobby shop. Got two bottles of Testor's white paint. One is [was] gloss and the other flat. Cleaned the holes with a pipe cleaner and lighter fluid. Used a tooth pick to put a small amount of paint in each hole. Please note, a drop is way too much. It took a couple of tries to get the right [very small] amount of paint on the tooth pick. The front sight went well. The back sight is serrated so it took a couple of tries to get the paint in the hole ONLY. The flat white gave a whiter sight picture. After drying over night, my M&P seems as good as new. Total cost: $3.50. Thanks, Hardbawl |
