| How big of a quality gap is there between the various countries? Is the East German that much better than a commercial Russian or Bulgarian? Do they all shoot about the same? |

The East German is by far the better made Makarov. The fit and finish is way better then any other i've handled. The trigger is much smoother as well. In my book,EG then Russian,Chi-com(only shot one),then a Bulgie. I've got a pair of consecitive numbered Russian PM's on the way, both NIB. I feel like a school girl waiting to go to the prom!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! |

If you want a carry gun/shooter they are all very much up to the task in quality...they are all very well made. Ive had Norinco's/EG's/Bulgy's etc....I still have a carry gun/holster mold Bulgy that shoots as well as any of them. Its got an EG trigger group in it...but it shot as well before I worked it over. The quality of them all is great....the EG's are better. Shoot well and god bless |
