So I'm carrying a Government 1911 currently, usually I just toss an extra magazine into my pocket. This is fine for me in summer, but with these winter months I want to get something more accesible/secure.

I'm looking for a Single magazine holster for my belt. I'm a college student so I must remove my pistol before I go to campus, so I need something that is easily put on and off the belt (I'm right handed so it will be around the 9 oclock position) like a clip or something of that nature.

Just shoot me what you guys like, and I'll go from there, thanks.

several options...

in your case, i'd look to one that attaches via a belt clip or paddle...

if so, i prefer those from Comptac and Safariland

LOTS of options out there though

had my same question answered on this site recently. An old cell phone belt clip or a leatherman pouch works great.

I use a Comp-tac holder for my spare 1911 mag. Clips right on and off the belt with ease.

I like the Blade-Tech single mag pouch

I also use the Comp-Tac holder. Holds the mag securely, fast to load from, and easy on and off.

For a 1911 I use a Bianchi or Galco double mag carrier.  Leather, snap-on with the tension screws in the middle.
