I am looking for a good 1911 in a double stack configuration, but here is the catch, it HAS to have a rail. Does anyone even make a gun in this configuration? I couldn't find any and couldn't even think of one. Good old fashioned single action 1911, double stacked, but it has to have a rail? Can anyone even find one of these? Price range doesn't matter. Thanks!

I would imagine STI has what you're looking for.  Also, I think Caspian makes a double-stack frame with a rail.

Thanks guys! STI looks pretty good, how do they function? Are there any problems with them? What is the different between the 4.5 and the 5.0 versions?

If the single-action requirement isn't set in stone, have you looked at the Para Nite-Tacs?

I ordered one from Impact Guns for $695 (best price I have seen by a couple hundred).

You can build one up on a Caspian frame.  Retail on the frame is $525.  caspianarms.com/html/receivers/highcap.html
