I'm thinking about purchasing a Sprinfield XD-9 or XD-40.  I was wondering if you can shoot lead reloads with the stock barrel.  I had to get a stainless barrel for my Glock, but I wasn't sure about the Springfields?

You can shoot your lead reloads all day long. XD & XDm barrels are rifled verses Glock's hexagonal barrel.

My XD-9 has seen less than a magazine full of jacketed 9mm since I got it. 98% are lead, and the other 2% or so are plated lead.

i shoot lead reloads exclusivly unless i am at a training course, where i use factory, however i have used reloads at a course before. anyway of the over 15,000rds through my xd .40 i would say 11,000+ have been reloads, and lead.
