Hi Folks

After cleaning my LCP for the first time ,I cant get the slide to pull back more than about a 1/2 inch or so. after reassembly. The slide went on the frame and the takedown pin went in the frame fine, but when I go to pull the slide back it feels like something is blocking it internally from pulling back more than a 1/2 inch or so. The manual seamed easy to follow but it seems like they left something out ?  any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you disassembled it again?  Sounds like the take down pin might be hung up.

I have only had mine apart 2 or 3 times, they are a little stiff. I'd try to disassemble it and try again as well.   If not try  www.rugerforum.com   they can help

Adjust the recoil spring where it comes in contact with the barrel that work with my LCP.
