[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Kimber extractor problem

I have a Kimber Ultra CDP II. Love it.

But the when shooting the brass is thrown in every direction. Sometimes it goes up and to the right, sometimes straight up and down, and sometimes hits me in the face or top of my head.

I've had plenty of brass impact my safety glasses. Not good if I'm in a self defense situation.

Is there a fix I can do or should I just send it in for service?

A savvy smith can tune your ejector or change it. I swapped
the one on my Colt Series 70 w/ a Commander's which used to be the
norm like changing the collet bushing with a solid one and it
now dumps all my brass in a sombrero size spot way behind me.

Wait till you get one of those hot buggers down your shirt or worse,
behind your shooting glasses which has happened to me more'n once.
