Is there any chance that the frame and slide are stainless steel?  I called Kimber to ask and the guy in the custom shop so no but he did not seem to sure of his answer.

With mine, the frame and slide are steel. The ejector and plunger tube are stainless The slide stop and beavertail were steel.

Stainless  parts were:

Thumbsafety
Mag catch
Mainspring housing
Barrel bushing
Grip screws and bushings

I've replaced most of it with aftermarked steel parts. I parked it this winter.

i hear ya, i personally dislike the tan warriors. blued/parked/chromed in that order...1911s all should be.
