Comp-Tac for kydex or Merincle for leather are my favorites.

Comp-tac doesn't even make a holster for an L frame according to their website, what am I missing here? |

Not every holster is made for them. I have a C-Tac. The locking paddle and gurka are also made for N and L frames.

Leather: Galco or Milt Sparks
Kydex: Balde-tech or Fobus I just purchased a Fobus holster for my 686, at half the price for a blade-tech. Bought it here.

Fobus screwed me only once. The holster and the gun it was for are now gone. NEVER again.

Check out www.mernickleholsters.com and you'll never look anywhere else again. If they don't show exactly what you want, call Bob and he will make any change you want and probably for no or very little extra charge.
