Will a Commander hammer fit a Government size gun? I found a hammer I like but it is a Commander version.

Yes, however you have to either replace or modify the grip safety for it to work.

Guess it would be easier to find a different trigger. Most of the triggers out there are silver and I need a blued one.

If you have a brervertail grip saftey, or a commander tang grip saftey a commander hammer will work.
