[ARCHIVED THREAD] - HK USP slide lock question

Just got one of these, slide is locked, have the key how does it insert to re-lease the slide?

I was not aware their new system also locked the slide as well, I thought it locked the hammer only?

Locking the hammer down will lock the slide.

I have a 40 compact and the lock is in the mag well on the rear side.

its in the ver rear on the bottom of the magwell...........two little holes that the key will fit in.
FWIW, Call HK and get a duplicate key

unlock it and throw away that key. the lock is located at the bottom of the mag-well on both USP and USPC.
