Do you know of anyone who sells a basic set that is sold as a kit? Maybe a non-marring hammer, common punches, rubberized vise inserts, locktite, non-marring screwdriver bits, all in a pre-assembled kit? ETA: Primarily for handgun disassembly, sight installation, etc. Not complete rifle sets. Thanks Scott |
| I think I also saw some inexpensive kits recently at CTD, too. You probably won't find an "all in one" kit, but the individual kits of punches, hammers, etc. Hollow tip punches are also nice to have in addition to flat tipped one - much easier to drive pins out without slipping and marring. |

PS, some hobby files with plastic/rubber handles are also nice to have - a few small one - flat, triangular, rat tail, etc.
Another source for these is ebay - you can get cheap sets of simple things to set you up, usually. They are usually "acceptable" quality Chinese made things - not going to be nice as some US tools from Brownells, of course, but an option. |
