I've had a lot of guns Cerakoted and have not had issues even though I know many people have. |

It's solid AF. Think of it a taper mount for a pistol. Griffin Armament EZ-LOK is the way. Little expensive tho. Pistons are $75 and each adapter that goes onto the pistol is $50 a pop. But it's awesome once you get setup with everything. |

Chopped G45 frame. 15rd mags lock in nice. Still fitting a Magpul mag funnel.
![]() ![]() ![]() I admit, I was a little nervous. If I fucked it up, chances of finding another G45 frame would be slim to none. ETA: I hope to fill in the gap at the front with a mix of epoxy and polymer shavings. Get a lump on there and after setting, start sanding it down. And I burnt my Dremel up about 2/3 of the way through so I’ll need to get another one. |

Was it a "I already have this" kind of decision over buying a 19? If I understand your question - Yeah, already have G19’s but that’s not why I bought a G45 and chopped it. I prefer the full size grip angle (backstrap area) but wanted to still be able to use 15rd mags when necessary. Should carry well with a 15rd mag and 17rd spare. The plan was to chop but was nervous and put it off til today. |

View Quote I hope this helps… Going clockwise - Upper left is chopped G45, upper right is chopped Gen3 G24 frame (full size, G17 equivalent), bottom right is stock Gen3 G19, bottom left is Gen3 G19 ![]() Next pic is the chopped G45 laid over top the bottom left Gen3 G19 to show difference in backstrap angle (the G19 hump). ![]() My personal opinion is the hump exists simply for aesthetic reasons. |

I kind of want a 40 caliber glock. I figure a police trade in is cheap enough to get into .40 caliber. Undecided if I should get a 22 or 23 but leaning towards 22. I see so many places carrying them but want a clean one. |

I kind of wanted a 23 over a 22 but at that price I can’t decide. Is gideon tactical gtg? I think they have 23’s and also gunprime but those are more money than gt. It would be my first .40 and at the gt price, if I don’t like it, I’m not missing out much. |

Check recoil gunworks. They also usually have a bunch g22 surplus mags available.

And GT has PD trade in Speer Lawman TMJ for $15 for 50 rounds. I snagged some of each. |

The barrel doesn’t even have the smiley face. Sucks that the ffl I picked only works 3 days a week and only answers texts on those days. I’m suppose to pick it up tomorrow cause I did the 4473 last tuesday and got delayed so had to wait till tomorrow cause its by appointment only. I’m pretty disappointed in that regard. I texted them today to see if I can order another and put it on the same 4473 and transfer fee to make it worth it since the transfer fee was 40. It was delivered 1.5 weeks ago so you can see why I feel that way. I’ll look into those speer dots since thats a deal. I did order range ammo from sgammo and mags from recoil. |

Heres the g22 that I got from gt distributors. Inside is basically new and frame is in very good shape. Seemed to be carried and a lot
And holstered but hardly shot. I’m gonna have it milled for a red dot. Its my only .40 cal so we’ll see how it feels. Never shot a .40. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Only thing that sucks is that it came with no backstraps and it has the medium on there. Its not bad but I have medium hands. I’m gonna try it with no backstrap.

Holster wear on the slide, a basically perfect frame, and like new internals. Like you, this is my first .40. It was not as bad as I was expecting. I found it to be a very accurate pistol as well. I’m leaving mine irons only and it’s going to be my shooting range carry gun in a Safariland level 2 holster. I tend to bang RMR’s when holstered into the concrete shooting tables at my local range so for this purpose I think irons are better. |
