This one has just been unobtanium for me so I caved. Edit: the only gen 4 19 mos I can find on the internet right now is a used no box non threaded Austrian made on GB. Selling for almost 900 (auction) with shipping…crazy |

I've seen both G-19 and G-23s with RTFs. Not all of them had mag wells. It depended on what they were being used for. Some had the KKM threaded barrels or factory Glock threaded barrels for use with the AAC suppressors. Most just had the standard factory barrels. Once away from the flagpole, anything could have been changed. I've even seen Gen 3, G- 35's with OD frames in use. That looks like the start of a nice build. Regards |

Yes, they all had/used Doctor Optics back in the day. There are still a few of the DR optics going strong. But life is imperfect and it depends on who you are working with. I know many people who used their own personal slides with their own privately purchased optics in the field. Burris, RMRs, and even some DPPs. The key is returning it to the original configuration before turning it in. |

Best Regards Afaik the correct Dawson is the heavy brass which is currently less obtainable than even the alg(last alg I saw sold was a grey anodized a little over a year ago for ~$475) Or would the ice magwell also be correct? Wouldn’t surprise me if they were used, but only photos I’ve seen have been of the heavy brass(blackened version) on the rtf2s and the ice only on gen 5s |

Maybe it’s the angle, but I don’t think that’s a Dawson; and pretty sure the ice magwells Pressburg is referencing is the heavy brass(like the ones on the g22s just posted) which I guess dawson called a super heavy ice back in the day |
|
I agree that the Pressburg gun pictured does not have a Dawson. I have multiple dawsons, and they all share the same profile regardless of brass or aluminum. The front juts out a lot more. To me it looks like an old T.H.E accessories magwell. Aluminum with no Delrin (ice) insert. I picked up one since I was also trying to match the magwell that appears in the arms room photo of the Tan ALG six second mount. Profile looks very similar to the ALG (don’t could also be a prototype), just with a more gloss anodizing and less machining tool paths visible. I’ll try to find the old brownells link & photo. Edit Found it: page 223 https://feeds.brownells.com/userdocs/Miscellaneous/catalog2019/pdfs/72-Pistol-P212-241.pdf T.H.E. accessories competition magwell for Glock Better photos on the 6-sec G22 https://soldiersystems.net/2015/03/20/advanced-holster-6-second-mount-holster/ |
