| I am with the majority of Glock fans wishing they would make one. I think the hangup is as long as Gaston Glock is around things will stay somewhat the same. He is a traditionalist and wants to stay with what they have been doing. I can only hope one day they do this. Not to be a "1911" Glock just to be a single stack .45 The G36 has been one of my favorites for a long time. |

I think a slim G19 is much more likely, and gaston is detaching himself from day to day operations more and more every day? a slim .45 would be no thinner than a G19 is today.
I'd put the possibility as very hi, despite the "Glock is driven by LEO sales , not civies" BS. Civie sales are paying for his horse farm and divorce. It's going to probably come down to the ability of the Smyrna, GA plant to tool up to make everything in house. Importing a gun more concealable than a G26 is not going to fly. But a domestically produced gun would have no such restrictions. Look up the ATF point system for more info. |

With Glock already backordered a few hundred-thousand pistols, I think it would be stupid for Glock to devote any resources to fill a "niche" market when the 9/40/357 are selling faster than they can make them...
I would say Gaston Glock has the same opinion. But hey, what would I know I'm just a consumer |
| Yeah, I'd think until they clear out that backlog they're not going to be all that motivated to come out with something new. I like the idea of a single-stack 9/40/357 and a Glock carbine, but when they're selling more of their standard offering than they can produce, business is still quite good. |

Not to be a "1911" Glock just to be a single stack .45 The G36 has been one of my favorites for a long time. I wanted this pistol too back about 15 years ago. I wanted it mostly during the ban years, now not so much. At the time, a slim .45 Glock seemed like the perfect pistol with the 10 rd limit in place. My first pistol was Gen 2 21. I sold it later because of the grip size, and went to 1911s with mixed results. With federally limited magazine capacity, a slimmer .45 with Glock's reliability was the ideal in my mind. Now with plenty of cheap hi-cap mags available, I'm content with G19s and 26s. |
