I have had 4 different G19's over the years and this is the first one I ever considered stippling. I'm a cheap bastard living on a firefighter's salary so I decided to try to do it myself. Just thought I would post it and get people's honest opinions. I know that there are haters of stippling and I can handle that. I also did a slight undercut and opened up the mag release a little. Both of those need to be polished up a bit, just trying to figure out how I am going to do it. Anyway, pics:

Want to do mine?  I really like that.  Very clean and simple.

Hell no, I don't even want to do another of mine. My hand was so damn cramped after I was done. Probably about 4 hours with a hot soldering iron in my hand. Thanks for the feedback

Looks great.  You can polish up the smooth areas with either synthetic "wool" pads (start with maroon, then grey, then white) or wet/dry sandpaper (600 to 1200 to 2000).
If you own a dremel you can buy the polishing wool wheels (make sure to get the fine grits, I think they're maroon and grey), but it's hard to maintain straight border lines with these.
Again, really nice job.

For the record, I am NOT a fan of stippling but that is a nice, clean job.

I hate finger grooves with a white-hot passion so I'll take an ugly stippling job any day.  Your's, however, is not ugly.  Someone needs new sights, though.

QFT. I plan on sending it in to glock to get factory night sights installed as soon as I can afford it.

I think I sat there with a spooled up dremel in my hand for about 5 minutes before I actually let it touch the frame

That undercut looks like it would give some righteous Glock knuckle.

The only stippling I've ever considered for any of my guns was Tactical Texture.  Yours looks ok, I've seen worse, that's for sure....

I think it looks good. Nice and clean and simple. I have a gen 3 17 that I've had for about 4 years now. Thinking about working up the courage to do mine. I've got a lot of scrap kydex I will be practicing on before I touch the glock.

I have never heard of this until now. Have been shooting 19's for probably about 15 years and never had an issue with it but could see how my sharp undercut could enhance the effect. I still have plenty of meat there that I can remove to smooth it out, even though the picture makes it look narrower than it is.

Did you stipple the bottom of the trigger guard, by the way?  It makes a world of difference.

I've seen professional jobs look a lot worse. Looks great. Especially for your first time.

No I didn't. I don't think I wan't to quite yet until I actually get to shoot it and see if I need to take any more off.

Oh and I really do appreciate the compliments. After seeing quite a few other stippling threads, I was expecting to get hammered by you guys. I did have one part where I messed up on the lower right side, it is darker than the rest. I let the iron set a little too long and it went a little deep. I fixed it the best I could.

I highly recommend it.  You'd be surprised how much contact you put on your support-side index finger when you get a good thumbs-forward grip.  A little extra stick goes a long way.

I think it looks great! How does it feel and perform is the main thing.
So many guys are are so concerned with how the stipple job looks and not how it performs.
Check out Kyle Defoor's glocks and see if he cares about looks.

Looks good, but fill in the front forward the take down. The 1/8 boarder is just for decoration.
