I just put my first springfield on lay-a-way it is a lightly used v-10 ultra compact. The slide fitment is still tight and all of the internal parts look almost brand new. Does anyone have any experience with these? opinions? I am not crazy that it is ported but it was the right price at the right time |

The Ultra Compact doesn't lend itself to utilizing the ports, IMO. The ports are also gonna be unfriendly should you have to shoot the gun in a close-tuck position. As much as I love my Micro for CCW, I would suggest you switching your lay-a-way to either a large 1911 with porting or a small 1911 without it. My .o2 |
