I thought I read somewhere on here that the finish wears off when used in a holster alot.  I can't seem to find the post though.  I would think the nitron finish is better than blued.  Any comments on how they wear?

I noticed with the P239 that it is wearing much more quickly (on finish anyway) than on my P229 or 220.  Not sure if they're using a different process / materials, but it's noticable.  Maybe just a fluke, I'm not sure.  It shoots & handles great though.

I've carried mine (1998 manufacture 9mm) almost daily in an Andrews Leather McDaniel II for 2 years with no sign of finish wear due to the holster.

When did you buy yours Para?  Are both of yours in nitron?  Thanks -Mark

Bought the 239 two months ago.  The 229 was back in '98. Seems that the initial wear has leveled off, & is holding steady now.  Both are nitron coated
