I've got several boxes of this stuff I've been buying from walmart, typically the night before a shoot. I'll buy 4 boxes if I'm shooting two so I can build up my stash. It's accurate, reliable, always goes bang, no excessive flash....

However, knowing walmart, it's probably made with the cheapest components available, and from what I heard, it's a Walmart exclusive line of ammo that replaced the o,  blazer.

The bullet looks like it is copper washed/coated vs plated. It has a pebbly, orange, dull kind of look to it with imperfections on the surface. I don't know about the brass, but I have a lot of it, and when I start to reload I'll let you know (Unless someone has other experiences with it). I'm wondering if the bullet still maintains integrity when hitting barriers and such because of the copper wash/coat. Someone more knowledgeable than I will be along soon to correct me, I'm sure

You thoughts? I have 8 boxes of the stuff as my SHTF/range ammo (for when the PDX1 runs out). It's cheap, and always goes bang.

I've never had a problem with it in 9mm or .40––thousands of rounds.

I have shot a bunch of it and reloaded the brass with plated 124 grain bullets and Bullseye.

No problems whatsoever.  Git you some, fish!

I've noticed that different copper jacket on federal, brazer & independence. I also had a half cracked shell case in a box of federal. Meaning quantity has gone down.

Worked every time for me to, but so has everything. For SHTF I'd say almost anything would be better. S&B JHP or Silver bear JHP at AIM are cheap & they may expand.

Also I saw some old WWB from 1983 in the old plain box and the brass and bullets (besides the tarnish)looked way nicer then they do now.

I've run roughly 1500 rounds of it through my XD9 SC during a class and some pistol matches and have never had an issue. I stock up on it from WM and will continue to do so.

It's available on-line as well. Both AIM and Palmetto have had the Champion 180gr. .40 S&W recently.

+1

The lady and I each put about 1k rounds through our Glocks in a two day class without any issues.

Its my current "favorite" FMJ load.

Cheap, works, and not that dirty.

I keep raiding the local walmart for ammo boxes of this stuff. I can only find 4 at any one time. And of course, I buy it all.

Shoots just as good as WWB for me and costs $3/box less.

I buy all I can get my hands on.  Local Wally World has recently started having it in 45 ACP for $15.87 I think?  Cheaper than WWB 100 rd packs.
