This may be a dumb question, but what can I get in .40 and compact in da/sa that's not a Sig? My 9s are a Sig P239 and CZ P01. I want a .40 in da/sa that I can find used for a lower price than used Sigs, just to have a .40. What else should I look for? I want the da/sa so that all my guns have the same system.

Except that it's not cheaper than a used Sig unless you get a great deal.  It is a good gun though.

This is why I didn't suggest the HK. He asked for cheaper than the SIG.

Used USPc 40s can be had from 5-6 hundred all day long.

But knowing that info wouldn't fit your argument

OP, all in all I think it's gonna be hard to find what you're looking for in that price range.  If you're willing to spend 5-6 hun you can get a used USPc

The reason he is asking for something other than another SIG is he is looking for something cheaper. He could also look for a used SIG in that price range. HK and SIG are in roughly the same price category. Comparing used to used and new to new.

While the p229 is a fantastic gun, I would lean heavily towards this in that pricerange, personally.  But then again I may be a little bit biased.

This is easy.  The P01s cousin, the P06.

I have an xd subcompact in 40 no complaints. Comfortable, reliable, a little heavier than some, but I would get another if I felt the need.

Yes it is.

I shoot my 98 P229 40cal a lot better than my HK P30S 9mm
