Can 10 round compact mags be converted to 12 round mags and if so how?
Thanks,
Tim

The two mags do not have the same body shape for the attachment of the floor plates, so the only way to do the conversion is to either cut and bend lips on the bottom of the 10 round mag to hold the full cap base plate (and then it may be too short to lock into the mag) or to do what I did and cut and weld them together.  By cutting and welding two 10 round mags together I got one 17 round mag.  Sticks way the hell out of the bottom of the pistol and a longer 140 mm STI spring is needed, but it works.
The easiest way to get full caps is to just buy them.
