Not sure where to put this, and I dont see an holster forum. Anyway

I have a comp-tac mtac holster for my carry peice and I am running into a problem.

The damn screws keep working out from both the plastic clips and now from the molded bit that holds the gun. I keep having to retighten them back and it's getting annoying.

I thought about just putting some loktite on em and being done, but the clips need to be able to swivel a bit for minor adjusting each time I put it on.

Anyone else run into this issue? Any fixes? Or just ditch the comptac and move to something else that doesnt use those annoying ass screws?

I would contact Comp-tac and see what they say. They have terrific CS and will probably take care of the situation right away.

I've owned multiple CTACs and MTACs and have never had the screws back out or loosen. I EDC in a CTAC, FWIW.

It is recommended to use blue thread locker on all the holsters hardware.

It can still be adjusted.

or you can use thread tape. either way the threads need something on them. you will have the same issue with any holster. I regularly check mine, hell I just had a Chicago screw come loose on my leather cary belt, I found it on the floor of my closet.

just put some loctite on it.  or you can try taking some pliers and slightly clinching the female end a hair.

and FWIW, the screws on the crossbreed are even worse than mtacs.

Loctite the screws, the clips will still be able to rotate.

I have owned examples of both; and the screws that attach  the steel belt clips  to the leather backing on the Crossbreeds have never, ever, become loose.

Additionally, Crossbreeds do not even have retention screws at all.
