Finally got around to putting those original grips back on Dad's old Python.  They were stock but he customized them back in the 70's.  He broke the screw and never put them back on.  They've had some back rubber grips since then.  My problem with them is they were wide and just uncomfortable.  I ordered the screw a while back and put these back on.  They feel great and I like how they look.   Going to drive out to Dad's this afternoon after work and show him.  I sure hope I come back with it.  That is an old  Safari land basketweave holster.

Sorry about the blurry picture.  Guess I was in too much of a hurry.

I always wanted a Python. Came close to buying a new one once. It was a 2.5' Bright stainless from the factory. I though $650 was too high. At the time it was a lot but damn, I wish I would have bought it now.

Nice looking revolver, and good looking grips.  Did he just sand them down over time?

And if that's HIS original basketweave holster from work, then thank him for his service.

I would love to have that gun and would carry it on occasion as well.
