I'm looking to get one to tide me over until my SA gets back. I'm seeing between $700-$1000 on gunbroker and assorted forums. How much should I give? Spring for $700 or wait? A colt is going to be just about 100% out of the box, right?

For function yes, used who knows.

I always change items on every 1911 I purchase so none are 100% out of the box.

100 % ?? I wouldn't bet my life on it. I bought a NIB Colt that wouldn't even drop the hammer.......this was back in the late 80's though.
