Cimarron Single Actions? Are they good to go? Can they handle the +P+ .45 loads out there?
Thanks- http://www.cimarron-firearms.com/ModelP/MP668-ModelPStdFin.htm |
| From what I've read about them, and also from handling a few in gun shops, they appear to rather nice reproductions. As for the +p stuff, I would avoid running them in one of their single actions. I've considered buying one myself. I currently have a Ruger Vaquero in .45 colt. It is a great gun, just not a great reproduction. However, if you want to run hot loads, it might be the way to go. I've run some pretty hot loads through my Vaquero with no issues. |

Cimarron Single Actions? Made by Uberti for Cimmaron. Higher level of fit and finish than standard. Are they good to go? Yes. Can they handle the +P+ .45 loads out there? Negative. DO NOT shoot any hot loads in original OR REPLICA 1873 type SAA's. They can not handle the pressures.Stay with low to moderate loads in them. If you just have to shoot hot loads go with an Old Model Vaquero Thanks- http://www.cimarron-firearms.com/ModelP/MP668-ModelPStdFin.htm |
