I think I prefer the alloy framed Tactical model that is sitting on my night stand.  The extra weight just makes for a rock steady platform during rapid fire.

Are my calculations right - 1.7 lbs?  It is 1 pound lighter than the standard SP-01 and the same weight as the P-01?

It looks like it has interchangable backstraps but didn't say anywhere.  Also will they be bringing it out with a safety instead of the decocker?

What I can say about the PHANTOM :

Great for people who don't have big hands (like me).

Light weight.

Same trigger action than the SP01 TACTICAL

I can't buy more guns but I would have this one.

I wonder if that 800 grams is with or without an empty mag.  If it is with then they are about to get a lot more popular in IDPA.  I seriously want an SP-01 for IDPA and USPSA so I could shoot the same gun for both, damn that IDPA weight limit.

If you change out the grips with a set from Marschal Grips you should be right at the 39 oz. limit with the 19rd mag.

That's the same question I have.  That definitely looks like a gun that needs to be in my gun safe.

I really want one - my only concern is with it being so light and the barrel appearing to be riding pretty high, what's muzzle flip like?

The cz top rail sits on the inside which apparently helps.

Did anyone notice the "Read Manual Before Use" etching?

might have to consider a polymer framed pistol now.

I bought my SP-01  because it WASN'T polymer framed.

If I want a poly framed pistol for IDPA, it would be a G34.

I have a poly framed Sig and wish I had spent the extra $$$ for metal frame.

They are starting to become available.  $580 at czcustom.com.  I'd be alot more interested in the manual safety version.  A poly framed P01 style pistol is apparently in the works as well, which would be awesome.
